Refresh Denver is a community of designers, developers, and other internet professionals working to refresh the creative, technical, and professional culture of their trades in the Denver, CO area.

This is not a typical meetup.
The LabWorx format is a scheduled day and time every week where you can go to explore something new. Instead of speakers/presenters you are encouraged to learn and explore with others or solo, using the resources of the web or your peers.
Bring your laptop and use this time to explore something new. Work on pet projects, entrepreneurial ventures or just use the time to learn the new thing you haven’t had the time for.
RSVP at Labworx Meetup.

Solid State Depot – Hackspace Open House @ Solid State Depot7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Solid State Depot is THE Boulder hackerspace. Founded in 2010 at a local coffee shop, we have graduated to our own space with our own tools and have developed quite the community. Have no clue what a hackerspace is? Simple, it’s a place for hackers, tinkerers, artists, musicians, engineers, scientists, crafters, gamers, players and doers to get to together, work on projects, share ideas and create something great.
Come visit us at Solid State Depot every Tuesday night, 7:30PM, where we offer an open house-style meetup. Here we open ourselves up to the public to show off our space, our projects and ourselves. Whether you’re a veteran hacker or are completely new to hackerspaces, we invite you to come and see what we’re all about. Our members’ interests range from software, hardware, electronics, woodworking, machining, welding, art, sewing, crafting, sustainability, interactivity, philosophy to many other areas. If you have an idea you want to get off the ground, if you don’t have the space or tools to work on a project, if you’re looking for like-minded folks, if you need help brainstorming, if you just want a place to hang out and chat, we’re here for you. Other meetups include workshops, classes and other events, so stay tuned.
If you would like to become a full-time, paying member, please visit our website for more information: http://boulderhackerspace.com/dues/ Membership gets you 24/7 access to the space, access to all of our tools and supplies (with proper training), discounts on classes/workshops and supplies, and access to all the wonderful members of our community.
Check Solid State Depot for event details.

Denver Civic Hack Night @ Galvanize7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Join us for a casual hack night. This is an organic and unprogrammed night to come learn about or hack on new civic tools. Right now we have officially deployed DenverWiki, but there are many other civic applications we can work on. For example:
Or anything you’re working on…
These will happen regularly (bi-weekly) and are designed to give people easy entry into the emerging community of civic innovators. Heck, you can even come and work on your own thing, sometimes it’s good just to be around other people working on something new and innovative. So come and join us for some code and refreshment.
If you have something you’d like to work on or are excited about for the social and civic good, let us know via the meetup or at the hack night itself. We are growing our initiative and the energy comes from the community.
RSVP at Code for Communities.
Solid State Depot Open House @ Solid State Depot7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Our Tuesday Meetup is a great place to meet and greet members, learn about our projects and learn about what *you* might like to do. See the ‘space, see the tools, and figure out how to get that project going that you’ve always wanted to try.
The evening usually consists of members hanging out and new faces stopping by to check out Solid State Depot. We have a weekly meeting that usually begins around 8-8:30. Anyone is welcome to attend. Bring yourself, bring your friends, bring the family.
Our members hack Arduino, 3d Printing, Aquaponics, Wearable Electronics and more. Well, we’re still waiting on that one special robot – but it’s coming along!

1 Million Cups @ Galvanize9:00 am – 10:00 am
1 Million Cups (1MC) is a simple way to engage entrepreneurs in communities around the world. Each week, the 1MC program offers two local entrepreneurs an opportunity to present their startups to a diverse audience of mentors, advisors, and entrepreneurs.
Presenters prepare a 6 minute educational presentation and engage in 20 minutes of feedback and questioning after they present. Entrepreneurs gain insight into possible ways they can improve their businesses, gather realtime feedback, connect with a community that truly cares about their progress, and walk away feeling like they have advanced their business.
The audience also learns a great deal from the presentations. Whether this is through passively listening or deeply engaging with the entrepreneurs, there is much to learn every week from these dynamic and diverse communities. The program takes place every Wednesday morning from 9:00-10:00am in locations all around the country.
The Denver Chapter meets at Galvanize weekly. See more at: http://denver.sites.1millioncups.com/ or follow @1MillionCupsDEN
