They came in all shapes and sizes. MongoDB experts. HTML/CSS mavens. Salesforce sharks. But they were united in the quest for the perfect job with a local startup.
Denver startup impresario Jon Rossi rounded up seven companies and one conceptual firm seeking a technical co-founder for the second Startup Job Fair Thursday night. The event at the Uncubed coworking space expected nearly 200 men and women from across the Front Range on a blockbuster night that boasted four other major startup and tech events.
“At every New Tech or Meetup event the jobs always outnumber the people that are there,” explained Rossi. “This is hopefully the platform to close that loop.”
Rossi’s not only helping make a connection between recruiters and great talent. He’s also helping to bolster the local startup ecosystem. The Job Fair organizing team will award $250 from the event proceeds as a micropayment to help an unfunded local startup.
